update

hi y'all. been a while since i've posted it seems. i've been distracted by life lately. my weekends have been consisting of hanging out and spending a lot of time with a friend who will be moving away soon. too soon. i found myself reprioritizing a lot of stuff to ensure that i am doing what is best for me and what makes me happy (at least for now). doing this has made me incredibly happy, if only temporarily.

i haven't been on any shopping binges in a little while. unless, of course, you count shopping for other people... cuz then i am guilty as charged. i bought an awesome going-away present that i must say is probably THE perfect gift for the person. i got a portable/car satellite radio and a new cd player receiver for their car. it was awesome. i like making other people happy. i like that warm, heart-swelling feeling that you get when you can see that someone you care about is genuinely happy. that's nice.

i am still on the caffeine-free kick. i rather like myself without the caffeine which surprises me. i started drinking coffee when i was 14. i worked at a dunkin donuts though, so it was practically a job requirement. by the time i was 18, i was up to about 8 coffees a day. that's insane. i cut back (mainly because in college, i didn't have the time to get that much coffee anymore), and was recently at about 2 cups of coffee and at least one diet coke (bless that stuff; it is the one thing i miss). i've been drinking decaf just to make me feel like i am still getting the caffeine (and i like the taste of coffee) and that seems to be working very well for me. i have lots of energy.

thinking seriously about grad school. tired of a lot of aspects of life at the moment and i think that might be the next step. it's a hard decision though, because in my field a degree doesn't really matter. it's all about what you know and what you can do. although, if i ever move into the business side of things, a degree would come in handy. besides, i didn't live at school as an undergrad and think that may be one regret that i can kind of undo. anyways, this whole grad school idea is still in its infancy, so don't expect too much on this for a while.

have a busy week this week. almost every night is devoted to sending off R in style (as he deserves). i can't believe the summer is ending. so sad.

i'm off for a massage (we have them at work). spoiled, i know.

not sure what to post about....what do you want to hear about? (please comment)

if "spoiled" at work also includes moldy condiments and random unclaimed lunch meats in the staff fridge, than i too am spoiled at work
