the birthday party recap

my saturday started off much earlier than i'd like.
7:30 am: appointment
8:00 am: teleconference for work
9:00 am: took the T to return to back bay
9:45 am: met w/ suz for coffee and a quick shopping trip
10:15 am: returned home to get ready for my party
11:00 am: left for the burbs with my prince-loving companion
11:45 am: hit the liquor store for some beer and ice
12:00 pm: teleconference for work
1:00 pm: at my mom's and the party starts

as you can see, i had accomplished a lot in the hours preceding my birthday bash. i had a great time at the party though. R tells me it is nice to see me in my element (you know, where i come from and why i am the way i am (spastic) ). i think my cousin summed it up best when she said "she's just jen". it was so great to see so many of my friends and family all in one place. we drank, lounged in the sun, ate some home-cooked grub and had some fun. i demonstrated my extreme athleticism by playing badminton and a little whiffle ball (in fact, my arm still throbs from all of the athleticism).
