southern cali, here i come

well, i think the much anticipated (just humor me, ok?) outcome of the mac & cheese dinner will have to wait. you see, my man and i don't really eat pasta and the thought of us eating a big helping of super-fatty, high-carb mac and cheese at 10pm (this is when we'd be eating) is not really all that appealing to either of us. granted, if that's what he wanted for his bday dinner, that's what he would get. in fact, i'd have loved to fly him somewhere exotic for the weekend or something, but i just don't have the spare change right now. plus, the trip to Cali starts on monday. i'll be there for 7 days and am supposed to learn how to surf. that should be interesting... especially since i have to hold my nose under water. there's a bit of a possibility that i may drown out there. "girl taken by sea"... keep your eyes peeled... it may make the news with just that title. maybe i'll carry around my biography with me so that when they find the body washed ashore, they have all the facts and my memoirs and such. i'm such a planner, so you know that really isn't that much of a stretch, now is it?

i told my mom about the potential surf lessons and she brought up sharks. something that hadn't even crossed my mind until then. thanks, mom. ;)

besides surfing though, the only plans i have for the Cali trip are to lay poolside and eat fish tacos while working on my golden tan, ever accentuating this goddess-esque body i've worked so hard for. ;)
