the cat whisperer

nik's been in her native hometown for a little over a week now and i have joint cat-sitting duties with her neighbor while she's gone. it's been my shift these past few days and i must say that i am fully enjoying the responsibility. i go, talk to the little one, reassure the bigger one that i am an ok person, feed them, give them some water, clean out their litter box, and scan the house for any evidence of major catastrophes since my last visit.

today, i found a shredded roll of toilet paper, which i found quite amusing. oh, and then the little one climbed into the bathroom sink and layed down, all curled up under the faucet. i went to go and grab my camera, but as soon as i walked away, she followed and was around my ankles. clearly, like her owner, she doesn't love her photo taken :)
i did manage to snap a few the other day though.

You have officially endeared yourself to me forever ... and to Atticus too apparently. Must stop crying when I see these pictures. Just call me the crazy cat lady! :) God bless ya, Durk.

Radley has officially come around as well now. He was purring today and came over to see me as soon as I walked in. Then, they both watch me when I clean out the litter box. I'm never without an audience ;)

No major catastrophic events since yesterday... the little houdinis did manage to open the cabinet under the sink again though. Everything else was in tact.
