other things...

today, i have things on my mind other than just work. it's hard to explain without going into the actual facts of the matter though, so i will just have to be a little vague. sorry.

today's a day that means a lot of different things. to some, today marks Martin Luther King Day. a great man to many people. a man that has had an effect on every one of our lives whether or not we stop to realize it.

today is also suz's birthday. a great girl to those that know and love her. a woman that has yet to fully leave her mark on the world. she's destined for great things, though, and that is obvious to all of us that know her. i just hope to make it into her 'before they were stars' documentary. :)

today is also a sort of reminder of who and what i am. day's like this can be tough, but i'm optimistic about it. my approach to life in general is mostly that of an optimist, so this should be no different. i had a great morning. i woke up all warm and snuggly, overcome by a feeling of happiness. i plan on carrying that happiness with me for the rest of the day. alright, that's enough vagueness for now ;)
