what's been going on...
had dinner at a fancy little restaurant last night. the food was really good and the service was fabulous :)
if you've never eaten at Restaurant L in Louis Boston (newbury street), i highly recommend it. the food seems to have an asian-fusion thing going on. every single thing i ate was scrumptious. delicious appetizers with interesting twists, tasty flat bread with an original spread (miso cream cheese), and the entree.... mmmm... duck with mandarin oranges and roasted pistachios...yum yum. oh, and the champagne....
let's see what else...
my phone has made a full recovery and i am just trying to keep it on life-support until next month. keep it in your prayers. ;)
thinking about moving to a new apartment. in fact, i am thinking about not spending so much money on rent and going the roommate route instead. what do you guys think? i've never had a roommate (unless you count the boyfriend i lived with for like 5 years - but that doesn't count in my opinion), so i don't really know if i could deal with it or not. right now, i come home and do whatever i want with generally no interaction with anyone else. would you recommend doing the roommate thing or not? feedback, people, feedback. here's your chance...

I do not recommend roommates if you can afford to live on your own. I lived with two men (bad idea!!) and it was very tough. I think it is so much better to have friends than roommates. Plus, friends that become roommates sometimes don't stay friends. I had that kind of experience in college. Just my little piece of input.
The key is to find balanced roommates, people who are willing to let you have your space when you need it, but also who are around to hang out with and talk to, when you feel like that.
There's also the balance between uptight/anal and slobby/out-of-control. You know?
i think i figured out that i am going to look for an apartment without the real intention of moving. i have it pretty good right now if you can overlook the creepy maintenance guy part of it all. if i get an apartment that i need a roommate for, it will still be in my neighborhood, and i will still probably pay the same or more. so, i think i'll look just to see what's out there and if i do stumble upon anything great, then i'll jump.
