merry christmas!

after a much needed vacation, i am back to blog central. went to texas for a little hee-hawing good time with the family (really, it was only me, my dad and my stepmom, but whatever). here are the highlights of my trip:

got upgraded to first-class for free (merry christmas to the wonderful lady at Continental that handed me a ticket to first-class funkytown)on the way down and got disturbingly drunk with the girl next to me. the two of us polished off a bottle of wine each. btw - this was all before noon. :) oh, and no, there were no girl-on-girl makeout sessions in first-class... just in case you were wondering.

had a great christmas eve with my pops (it's his birthday). he really liked the present i got him (a framed photo of the two of us when i was little). cue the awwws.

christmas morning was a whirlwind of presents and wrapping paper. got a lot of great things including a bose sound dock for my ipod, luggage, a new dig camera, pearls, a massage, tons of gift certificates, and loads of other fun stuff. i'd say i made out pretty well.

my last day there can only be described as a scene from one of those 'amazing race' shows. i had to get to a bank in 10 minutes but was stuck in bumper to bumper traffic behind an accident. the bank was closing and i needed to get a certified check that day and then get to a ups to overnight it. luckily, the bank stayed open and did the transaction in the parking lot. (literally, they wouldn't let us in, but at least i got the check, right?) all in all a great vacation.
