drink much? - part deux

since this was nik's birthday weekend in her beloved boston, another night of drinking was not only in order, but mandatory. :)

we met at the redline for a quick cocktail before dinner. this being nik's weekend, we let her guide our journey into alcoholism from there. we started out by having dinner at her favorite indian restaurant, tanjore, in harvard square for an oh-so-yummy curry and some wine. after that, we took our overly-full selves over to noir for martinis. noir was the most crowded i have ever seen it, and the martinis went down a little too smoothly. after a few drinks there, we lost one of our fearsome foursome to other plans, but continued on to our next locale. again, we ended up at daedalus for drinks. good idea. bad idea: ordering more martinis. nik and i slowed down considerably at this point. the word slurs were setting in, i'm sure. at 1:00, we decided to hit grafton street for a last round or two and were pleasantly surprised that there was a band playing there. a darn good band if i do say so myself. they played covers of keane, coldplay, ... then my memory fades. i recall yelling out the words to sweet caroline with nik and mr. nik then having a harvard law school kid try and chat me up. shot down. :)

after searching for a cab, i made it home and decided that 3am was a good time to get my mail. i'm sure i looked just a little retarded when a neighbor walked in and saw me drunkenly gathering my mail. i took a drunken shower to wash off the cigarette smoke and went to bed.

nik woke me up by calling and letting me know she was dropping by shortly, so i got up. she said her goodbye and i got ready for another of my hobby classes in davis sqaure. new hobby = jewelry making and i am darn good at it. oh that reminds me, nik and mr.nik really liked my paintings! i love those two. they are so encouraging. guys, thanks for coming to boston!!
