drink much?

last night, i got to the point where i had to stop drinking and fight the spins. i haven't been there in a while. not to mention that i was out until almost 6am again. what was i doing, you ask?

well, it started off with me drinking a couple of glasses of wine while waiting for nik to get into town. her bus was late, and we were planning on dinner once she arrived, so i hadn't eaten in a while. after nik got in, we (i was already partially drunk at this point) went to grab some dinner at legal. it was already midnight. we finished dinner and headed into cambridge in a taxi ride that will stick with me for a while. no, i did not get sick. yes, the driver was a nut. in fact, he started referring to me as the russian princess (i am not, nor do i look russian) while staring at me with his head turned to the back seat and the car catapulting forward through traffic. he started telling the 3 of us (mr. nik was with us now) gay "anecdotes" about talking frogs and champagne bottles. we had a hard time understanding what the hell he was talking about because he was slurring his words. we believe the clear liquid in the cup in the front seat was vodka. no doubt about it. he then offered us heroin or cocaine if we wanted it. unsurprisingly, we declined. he then started telling us that he was jesus and could take us away if he wanted to (as he made gestures like he was sprinkling fairy dust on us). keep in mind, the man is driving like a mad man all through this. we finally made it over the bridge and asked to get out (we weren't that close to where we wanted to be, we just needed out). he stopped in the middle of traffic and let us out as the other taxis and cars honked at him. he continued to stare at me and waved goodbye to his "russian princess". we walked away. fast.

all i know is i had a lot of drinks for my tolerance level. we ended up watching some british tv show called 'father ted' and then two or three episodes of laguna beach at a friend's house. really odd, but a ton of fun. i am SO happy that mr.nik and nik are in town. woo hoo!

i had approx. 2 hours of sleep when the couch delivery men called me and told me they'd be at my house in ten minutes. i let them in, they brought in my super-awesome new couch, and left me to organize it (my choice). after getting my new setup all sqaured away, i crawled back into bed until nik pounded on my window at 12:30. time to get up, i guess.

spent the day walking around and shopping a bit with nik and mr. nik. had one of the best omelettes ever at daedalus in harvard square. managed to maintain myself and not spend a lot of money.

another night of drinking ahead...
