where to start
let's see, today's been a bit odd.
mr. creepy pulled a usual creepzilla manuever by playing his already exposed "trash game" where he walks by my apartment 20 times. not to my surprise, i found him standing outside my apartment as i was leaving today. stupid motherfucker. i also got a note from my landlord telling me that they would be in my apartment to install new shutters or something this week. i like that they never really tell me when they will be there. that'll be the second time this week. they were in to inspect my pipes (very funny - i mean actual plumbing, sickos!) on tuesday. the only reason i know that they were actually there is that they accidentally left my landlords mail in my apartment. just thinking about mr.creepy in my apartment probably rifling through my panties is enough to make me ill. god, i don't like my apartment anymore. i am SO out of there when the lease is up.
i started doing a little pro bono work for a non-profit org in the area. i am working on a website for them out of the kindness of my heart. had a telecon with the group that went smoothly today.
i have created a notebook to help me fall asleep. i call it my brainscan notebook. sounds like something that the kids from weird science would've had, eh? well, anyone who's ever slept with me (cuz you know, there are thousands of you out there) knows that i have an issue. no, not that one.... no..... not that one either.... ok, let me just tell you. as soon as my head hits the pillow i cannot stop talking. my brain just starts spinning and i feel the need to share all of my thoughts. this can be annoying, i'm sure. in fact, it was this that made an ex of mine institute the "3-question rule" at bedtime. i was only allowed 3 questions (which i later expanded to 3 subjects because i couldn't take it). i'm weird, i know. this brings us to last night and the brainscan notebook. well, when there is no one to download to, all of the info and ideas that are zinging through my brain keep me awake (among other things, but we are not going there today). last night, i couldn't take it anymore. i grabbed a notebook and furously started jotting down all of the ideas that were popping in my brain. got 2 pages of them. time to capture some of this ambition, i figure.
sometimes i impress myself. like the other day when i was walking along admiring a campus building. i noticed that the wall in front had a really cool green coloring at the bottom. i asked "why do you think it is green?" to my companion, and before i even finished my question, i had my own answer. i looked up to see a copper roof. you see, copper oxidizes when exposed to the air producing the green that you see (or 2 Cu(s ) + O2(g ) --> 2 CuO(s ) for you science buffs). the green patina runs off the roof of the building and gets on the wall that i was looking at. perhaps this is boring to you, but this is how i go about my daily activities. wondering why things are, you know? anyways, i think my companion was a little stunned that i figured it out so quick. go me.
