as many of you know, i visited Cali for the first time last week. it is my experience that first impressions of new places can burn a lasting image into your heart and your mind. this place was no exception.

as the plane landed at 7:15 pm thursday night, i looked out the window and saw pure natural beauty. the sun had just set, leaving the cooling sky dark with the slightest bit of warm light still glowing up against the silhouette of mountains in the distance. to top off the picturesque scene, a tiny slice of moon shone above the mountains. it was so beautiful.

as my time in Cali went on, i feel like most of the words out of my mouth were "amazing", "gorgeous", "breathtaking", and "pretty". i could simply not get enough of the place. i ended up seeing san jose (if you count the airport), san francisco, palo alto, sausalito, carmel, and a whole bunch in between. i even got a personal tour of Stanford. i cannot say enough about northern Cali. i loved it. it is awesome. SO awesome. i mean, you wake up in the morning and you can smell eucalyptus and rosemary in the air (it grows everywhere).

this by no means, is even a bit of the details of the trip. i will continue to regurgitate them to you as i see fit. i am too busy sorting out all that i experienced there. it's like sensory overload i think.
