raw fun

wednesday...

had dinner plans with friends from work (evan, sarah, nate, mike & chris) to go and grab some sushi. i bought them a round by work before dinner, and then we all piled in one car to the restaurant. once there, they made the mistake of putting us in our own little "zen den" as i will refer to it. this allowed us to be fully rambunctious (also pronounced: ourselves) while dining.

we all shouted out our suggestions for sushi to evan who wrote it all down. we orderd a LOT of sushi. especially since sarah had like 2 peices. we sat swizzling down our 22oz. sapporos and putting chopsticks in our orifices and making funny faces while we waiting for the food. i must also say that evan held the conversation that night. that's right, our shy little evan kept us all in hysterics with his tales of wine, penguins and god knows what else. and then... it came.

the zen den door slid to one side revealing a titanic of sushi (in fact, we reenacted the "i'm king of the world" scene with a california roll at one point). we struggled to get it all down. it was a lot of raw fish. there was one point where evan counted it all up and told us we each had to eat 8 more. i think all of our stomachs churned a little at the thought, but there's no "ill" in team, now is there? we kept going.

after filling ourselves to the point where we were all getting drowsy, we left the restaurant and headed to evan's (sans mike who had studying to do) where we had 'flights' of port. i don't really like port, but i did like the last one that had brandy in it. it was like candy. from there, we headed out for evan's new roommate's birthday. we ended up at the people's republik in cambridge drinking guinness. as if i wasn't already full. after one beer, we left for fear of falling asleep at the bar and evan walked me to the T. had a nice chat with him and then managed to get home.

i still feel full of sushi. in fact, i won't name any names here, but as of this morning, i know of at least one person that hadn't pooped yet and another that nearly upchucked during a morning run. it was a fun night. i would still say that the meat buffet took a bigger toll on us all though.
