amazing weekend

sunny days, washing the clouds away... on a happier note to my last post i figure i will tell you about my fabulous weekend.

that's right, it was a sesame street type weekend...

friday, i went to a sox game with a friend who'd never been. i managed to score tickets, which isn't an easy task these days with our beloved sox being so red hot. the game was good. seats were good. beer was watered down and over-priced, but without it it wouldn't be fenway. it adds to the charm.

saturday, i went shopping in downtown crossing with a friend. had a lot of fun just strolling around in the absobloodylutely gorgeous weather. met up with more friends and sat in the park for a bit watching a girl sun herself in this tiny little orange bikini from afar. after that, we met up with more friends and had a cool-ass dinner on the water. the barking crab, if you've never been there, is a really cool place. it is essentially a little tent-covered bar right on the water that serves amazing seafood yet still manages to have PBR on tap. not many places around here can pull that combo off.

sunday was extremely laid-back and really only included lounging around and tanning on the roofdeck.

i don't know if it was the weather, or just being around friends all weekend, but i was in extremely good spirits the whole time. thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it all. here's hoping the next one is just as good.

p.s. why a 'sesame street type weekend', you ask? well, it kind of felt like i had mr.snufalufagus looking out for me. what does that mean? i don't know, it just makes me laugh to think of a big furry brown elephant following me around back bay.
