almost out of the country...

i leave sunday for Costa Rica. i can't believe it. i'm a little nervous, but really excited that it will all be a new experience. i found out the other day that my assignment while i am there is to work in a nursing home with the elderly. i will talk with them and help entertain them some for part of the day and then my group and i are tasked with painting a mural in the nursing home to help boost their spirits. should be a lot of fun and very rewarding.

while i am there, i will pretty much be out of communication. i'm told there's a little cafe in the town that i can check my email in. it's going to be a little bit of an adjustment not getting text messages, emails and phone calls all day!
