here it comes...

tonight is the infamous boat party.

i'm quite excited. i've had my iced venti dose of 'optimism' (also known as caffeine) this morning, so now i'm ready. talked to nik this morning too, and that always lifts my spirits. this morning's anecdote was about a dream she had that sort of involved me. she cracks me up. she also doesn't bullshit me and completely calls me out when i'm over-analyzing a situation (as i tend to do). in fact, i think she told me she wasn't even listening to the details of my analysis this morning because it was all in my head. i love that girl. such a good friend. only a couple more weeks and she'll be here!

so, the boat party is set to be an amazing time, rain or shine. i think if it rains (which there is a good chance of), it could be even more fun. everybody wet and dancing around on a boat in the middle of boston harbor (love that dirty water). plus, it is in honor of me (and giles, shubh and tracey)... so that automatically makes it awesome, right? should make for some good photos either way.

in a somewhat unrelated matter, i talked to my little bro the other day (he called to say happy b-day) and i mentioned that he could stay at my apartment tonight after the boat party if he wanted to. he said that he didn't want to intrude in case i wanted to 'get my mack on'. i assured him that i am steering clear of 'getting my mack on' these days. nice of him to consider my sex life, i guess... but a little weird at the same time. i guess that's just what are little brothers for.

i'll post about the happenings of the boat party tomorrow if i can. i'll have to squeeze it in between getting an inspection sticker for my car (praying that it doesn't get rejected again!), a cookout in the burbs of MA with some old coworkers from the spa place i worked at, and then a concert. busy day, but should be fun. i do thrive in chaos, don't i? don't i??
