slower times

sometimes i feel like the R rated version of life (adulthood) passes so much faster than when it was simply PG 13. i mean, i know that time is constant and a year is a year no matter how you swing it, but the days of classes seemed to creep by one semester at a time with that common ultimate goal of graduating on everyone's agenda. maybe this is a crap analogy, literally, but it's almost like we are all contained in a monitored, censored and limited tube of a lifestyle and we cruise along unknowing that once we hit the end of this tube, we are dumped into a bigger place with limitless possibilities and no boundaries. that is where time seems to go by in waves; washing the days into weeks into years. each wave leaves its mark in the sand, making us better people for the experiences we have had and the knowledge we have gained, while never worrying about each little particle of sand. life goes by too quickly sometimes, take it one wave at a time and don't worry about every peice of sand, it'll all come together in the end.

ok - my moment of deep analytical thought is over... has anyone ever researched the possibility that being hungover can actually bring you closer to your inner self?? maybe it is because my brain is moving slower...
